Reunion News

4/27/03--2003 Reunion was a big success.  Well the reunion is now history and I hope everyone who attended had a great time.  We served over 300 people at lunch, over 100 at Eddie Hoch's fried fish plate sale (to benefit the scholarship fund) and the dance had a good turn out also.  I was running around so much that I only got to take a couple of pictures at the reunion, so if anyone has pictures they would like to share with everyone, please email them to me at rlblack@granderiver.net and I will post them to the new 2003 Reunion Picture Page.

1/26/03--I have had several requests for information on hotels in the area.  I know some have already booked the La Posada Hotel for the reunion weekend, but here is info on several nice hotels in Laredo.

bullet

La Posada--average room rates--$135-$185.  Old historic hotel located on the river.  Local phone number--956-722-1701 or reservations number--800-444-2099.

bullet

Holiday Inn--average room rates--$75-$95.  Fairly new hotel, located on IH35, easy access.  Local phone number--956-727-5800 or reservations number--800-379-8741.

bullet

Marriott Courtyard--average room rates--$80-$115.  Newest of the major hotels in Laredo, located next to the Holiday Inn, easy access.  Local phone number--956-725-5555.

These rates were obtained by doing a reservation check for each hotel online for April, 2003.  There are many other hotels in Laredo, but these are probably the three largest and most popular.  Hope this helps.
