The mesquite trees in the parking lot provided a gathering place outside of the civic center. It was a popular spot till well into the night..

The dance was great fun and lasted until mid-night.

Mirando City Reunion Scholarship
5/30/03--Eddie Hoch awarding Adan J. Salinas the $2000 Mirando City Reunion Scholarship at graduation ceremonies in Bruni, Texas. Adan is the son of Adalberto (Beto) Salinas and Elvia Trevino Salinas of Mirando City. Additional donations brought the total of the scholarship up to at least $2000.00. Thanks everyone who donated and worked on this worthwhile project.
As promised, here is information about the money raised at this years reunion and what will go to the scholarship fund.

I will add a few dollars to the fund to make it a even $1,750.00 that will be awarded to the highest ranking student from Mirando City at this years graduation ceremony in Bruni on May 30, 2003. Eddie Hoch will be here to award the scholarship. I will post information about who the recipient is after the graduation ceremony.
