February 27, 1965 – October 7, 2017
It is with great sadness that the family of Araceli Johnson-Leyva (AJ) announces her passing after a sudden death, on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at the age of 52 years.
AJ will be lovingly remembered by her husband Joaquin Leyva (Jack) and her children Asonie (Lyann), Krista (Kiki), and Melina. AJ will also be fondly remembered by her five grandchildren, Jamilette (Jam), Jayden, Jovani, Anjali and Micaela (Mika), Tatum by her siblings Jose (Joe), Gloria, Adriana and Ada.
AJ was predeceased by her brother, Roberto Trevino.
She was born in Laredo, TX on February 27, 1965. Her parents were Mercedes Johnson and Francisca Gonzalez. She attended school in Merando City, TX and graduated in 1983. She moved to Austin and became co-owner of the Pacific Star with her husband, Jack. She lived life to the fullest and always thought of others first before herself. She was very uplifting and would want everyone to live their best lives.
A Memorial Service in memory of AJ will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 3:30 p.m., in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35 Pflugerville, TX 78660, with Pastor Jack Adams officiating.
